Not many organizations have the privilege of serving their community for 50 years – and we are truly humbled by the support of our families, our donors, our volunteers and the list goes on.
The evening began with guests enjoying live music from Zenith City Sharps, while they browsed the silent auction and sipped on complimentary champagne.
A beautiful meal was prepared by the staff of Northland Country Club, guests had a choice between a filet & seafood, salmon or vegetarian dish.
Karen Herman, Executive Director, shared a brief history of the organization and encouraged those in the audience to continue to support the mission of the organization:
CHALLENGE disability. CREATE opportunity. CULTIVATE success.
Gary Holquist, former Udac Board Member, was the MC of the evening and kept the night moving along.
Our special guest speakers, John Officer and Heath Maki did an incredible job of sharing a heartfelt thank you to the staff and volunteers of Udac.
The highlight of the evening was the special video presentation from Udac staff, families and business partners. Joanne & Josh Steinke shared their story and there really wasn’t a dry eye in the house! Karen Pionk, General Manager of the Sheraton Duluth Hotel, shared her testimony for why she continues to hire and support those who work within the Udac workforce.
Thank you once again to everyone who made this evening possible!
